Our Story

St James Restoration was founded by a dedicated restorer who for twenty five years was the lead restorer/conservator with St Helens Restoration in Swansea. Upon the retirement of the owners of that business St James Restoration began.



With a wealth of knowledge and a breadth of experience in restoration and conservation, we have  worked upon diverse and treasured items of all types. We pride ourselves in offering a comprehensive service of restoration. Former customers can be assured of the same level of excellent service, and any new customers can be confident that their prized possessions, antique or modern, will be in expert hands.



The list of items that we have worked upon over is very large indeed. For example it has ranged from restoring the carvings in a fire damaged church, to structural repairs and finish restoration on just about every item of furniture imaginable, to the restoration of original features in a house, and the restoration of much loved wooden hippopotami.
